Last year I planted in Kohli's garden a quince tree. No idea why? But I planted it and this year I already had a harvest of five fruits.
But what do you do with quinces? Let's try a jelly. On Chefkoch.de we came across a great-grandma-style recipe.
Rub, quarter and stone the quince.
Fill a pot with water and simmer for about 45 minutes over medium heat. Then drain in a suitable container (I used a spaghetti strainer) overnight. In a container, of course. You don't have to help it.
The next day, weigh the liquid, add the same amount of preserving sugar and simmer for about five minutes.
My sweetheart had the awesome idea of adding some tonka bean pulp and vanilla extract.
I liked the taste and I didn't know quinces until then.
The containers you use for filling must of course be boiled beforehand.
We took simple screw top jars (with rubber seal inside).
After filling, close and leave to cool upside down.
Our five fruits made about 750 ml of quince jelly. Top!

Passionate "phone clipper". Currently with mine Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. A great phone with XNUMX TB of storage. Lots of space for experiments. My favorite subjects are plants, Eat & drink, animals, Buildings and Landscapes.
Otherwise, I like to spend my time in nature and sometimes hang out on the PC, with a cozy round Civ or Star Citizen, away. A series is also often sought after on the couch in the evening.
