The Wunderblutkirche St. Nikolai is a Protestant church in Bad Wilsnack in Prignitz in Brandenburg and is the symbol of the spa town. The church was a pilgrimage destination of European importance from the late 14th to the mid-16th centuries, after belief in a miracle of the Host spread in 1383. After the Reformation, the first evangelical pastor of Wilsnack, Joachim Ellefeld, destroyed the alleged miracle hosts by burning them in front of witnesses in 1552. This eliminated the reason for the pilgrimages.
