Kohli in an escape room? Is that okay? Oh yes, and how… a guest at Escape Berlin

It was at a time in 2018 that I was greeted by a nice employee of Escape Berlin I wrote to them and asked if I would like to do a test match.

Hello Rene,

we are, in the middle of Berlin, Europe's largest Live Escape Game. Live Escape Games are modern detective games in which teams of 4 - 6 people solve puzzles in specially prepared scenarios - e.g. B. Sherlock Holmes:

I would be really happy if you could draw the attention of your Kohli readers to our location. If you would like to research games personally, I would be happy to invite you to a test game.

Just write me a short email or call me if that sounds interesting to you. We would be very happy about a visit from you 😉

At first I thought, never never... but then, after thinking about it, why not? So I agreed and promptly received a voucher.

Now the question, when and with whom to get there?

Kohli: Hey guys, shut up and let me talk. I have a plan.

Andreas: Quiet... Kohli has a plan!

Rene: What, Kohli has a plan?

Kohli: Listen carefully… there is a shop there…

Andreas: A shop?

Kohli: Yes, a liquor store...

Rene & Sascha: SNAP!!!

Kohli: Quiet, yes a liquor store. It is located at the Landsberger Allee S-Bahn station and it houses the recipe. And I mean the recipe, the Berlin drop. We'll get it.

Everyone: uuuuhhhhhhh

Lothar: Mighty mighty Kohli.

So, on February 5, 25, late at night, around 2019:18 p.m., the 30-man gang set out for their big coup.

The boys couldn't afford to fail. The stakes were high.

The reputation was already ruined, but that was irrelevant here. It was a matter of honor. men honor.

location

Although the event at Escape Berlin took place far far away, for me everything is far away outside of Spandau, we were able to reach Storkower Straße 140 easily. With the S41 on the S-Bahn ring we got off Landsberger Allee and only had to walk a few minutes.

Arrivals

First we stumbled past the said object. He was unassuming. But after a small lap of honor we arrived just before the start.

A friendly member of staff referred us to the waiting area, where we took a seat.

Very good, you don't have to worry about your belongings.

It didn't take long and we were admitted. Even though Lothar was upset about not being allowed to lick bottles and Andreas didn't find it funny not being allowed to climb shelves, we understood the rules and nodded to them.

Kohli: And if I have to beat you up, no bottles will be licked.

Lothar: Oh man, why not?

Kohli: I just say one thing. DNA… got it?

René: DNA?

Kohli: Abbreviation for "Du Nmaybe ALick!” Or do you want to leave tracks for the cops?

Of course, this room also included the consumption of alcoholic beverages and the use of public transport was recommended. Of course, we stuck to the all-important tip.

No expense or effort was spared. The noble drops were praised with "disgusting and disgusting booze".

The burglary was in full swing

Luckily we didn't have to use force. The door to the liquor store was open. What luck. Much to his regret, Rene had to put the crowbar back in his pocket.

But suddenly this noise. Damn! The store was secured with an alarm system. How could we not know that before?

She let herself be muted again for the moment, but was still active.

Kohli: Shit, does one of you have an idea? If we don't turn that thing off, the cops will get us.

Rene: Where are the cops?

Lothar: Damn it!

Sascha: Here is a bottle.

Kohli: I know there are even 4 standing next to me.

Andreas: No, he didn't mean us, but the message in a bottle.

Kohli: What, oh. Where did you get the?

Sascha: Stand over there!

Here we got our first hint and finally entered the area that made men's hearts beat faster. There was something to drink, which promptly led to the first glass. hicks

The beginning was the hardest but once you got into the flow it went pretty well and the first puzzles were solved which made me feel good. It was really fun and in between we were rewarded with funny and entertaining interludes.

"Failure means alarm, alarm means less game time!"

By what means did we get further?

  • counting is good
  • do you want to play
  • counting helps
  • being musical is cool
  • Greetings from picking locks
A horn... unicorn?

The search for the recipe

Lead after lead led the gang into almost unknown areas of the store.

With many sexy women, over balls over balls, it went back to more familiar realms (once he's been there, you're already what I mean 😀). New dirty clues emerged until we finally figured out the password and got hold of the recipe.

And 30 seconds before the end. Time well spent I would say.

Kohli: Yeah, darling!

Andreas: Your darling?

Rene: Hmm?

Kohli: Uh... *cough* I mean our darling.

Conclusion

I would like to thank you very much for the great evening at Escape Berlin. It was a great experience that I would never have had of my own accord.

My “gang members” also had a lot of fun. A clear case for "must do it".

I could even imagine testing other rooms. Appealing immediately to me big bang Room, probably based on a well-known sitcom series. 🙂
